More about Nikki
In 1999 I stumbled upon a community called Clubmom (you know them now as Cafemom) and thus began my career in community management.
I began blogging in 2006 as a way to showcase my writing. I had given birth to our youngest child and was searching for a way to combine what I loved most (writing and growing communities) with bringing in an income for our large family.
Over the last 17 years I have built a loyal following through telling stories, community management, sharing experiences, and helping other small businesses discover the wonderful gift of social media marketing.
Had I known this would be my career, I would’ve started it a long time ago.
My writing has been featured in online publications, regional magazines and local newspapers. I’ve won several awards for my writing and was named one of the 50 top women in Social Media in 2008.
I am a wife, mother, marketer, blogger, and writer and I believe humor will get me through most everything in life (that and a pound or two of chocolate). What I don’t know, I fake until I have it down (sounds a lot like parenting huh?!).
I’ve lived in Ohio, South Carolina, and currently Alaska. I hope to make my way back to Ohio someday and live out my days among Amish neighbors, cows, and corn fields.
